Job Search Tracker 2.0 is out: one page with five tabs, an Agencies tab for staffing firms and talent pools, and a "Waiting on you" dashboard. Already own it? Re-download free from My Account. Dismiss
The newsletter went out a few days ago, and the tracker work hasn’t stopped. Using it every day in my own search keeps turning up things to fix. Here’s what’s coming in the next update:
Follow-up reminders that count business days. Applications sent on a Thursday or Friday won’t get a reminder over the weekend anymore.
Logging a follow-up resets the reminder, so a follow-up you’ve already sent stops showing as overdue.
An “I withdrew” outcome. Withdrawing from an application isn’t a rejection, and your rejection numbers shouldn’t count it as one.
Different timelines for different contacts. An application still gets 90 days before it counts as ghosted. A cold inquiry gets 10 business days. Talent-pool sign-ups are closed right away and never sit in your active list.
Assessment types. Track whether a screen was AI-run, a web-based test, or an actual person.
One résumé choice per application, with a simple “tailored” checkbox.
More industries, plus an “Other” option that remembers what you typed.
More to come as I keep using it.
