- Who we are
Workers’ Rebellion LLC (“we,” “us”) is a Georgia limited liability company that operates workersrebellion.com. You can reach us at admin@workersrebellion.com. We are based in Mableton, Georgia, USA. Our full business details are on our Legal Disclosures page.
- The Job Search Tracker
Our Job Search Tracker software runs entirely in your browser, on your own device. The software does not send any data to us or to anyone else. Everything you enter is stored in your browser’s local storage, and we have no access to it. This policy covers this website and your purchases, not the information inside the software.
- Information we collect
- Purchases. Your name, email address, billing address, and order details (what you bought, when, and the price). We use this to deliver your purchase, provide support, and meet tax and accounting rules.
- Payment details. Payments are processed by PayPal and WooPayments (the WooCommerce payment service, which uses Stripe), depending on the option you choose at checkout. We do not see or store your full card number. We may use Stripe Tax to calculate sales tax, which would mean your billing address is sent to Stripe for that purpose.
- Accounts. If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and billing address.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address (and your name, if you give it). Our newsletter is managed through MailPoet, and its sign-up form uses a built-in spam check.
- Messages and forms. If you email us or use our contact form, we keep what you send so we can respond.
- Consulting quotes and invoices. If you ask for a quote or we invoice you for consulting, we collect your name, email address, company, and project details. We use Sliced Invoices to create quotes and invoices.
- Site statistics. We use Burst Statistics, a plugin that runs on our own website, to count visits and see which pages are viewed. It records anonymous usage information, such as pages viewed, referring site, and browser and device type. It does not use cookies or fingerprinting, it uses an anonymous identifier that resets daily so it cannot recognize you from one day to the next, and it honors the Do Not Track setting in your browser. Its data is stored on our own website, and we use it only to understand how the site is used.
- Security and technical information. Our security tools, including Wordfence, record IP addresses and login and form activity to detect and block spam and attacks. We use this only for site security.
- Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies that the site needs to work: keeping your cart and session, remembering your cookie choices, and keeping you logged in if you have an account. Our store software (WooCommerce) may record which page or source brought a visitor to the store, and may collect store usage statistics for our own use. Our visitor statistics tool is set up not to use cookies.
Our PayPal payment plugin loads Google reCAPTCHA to protect checkout from bots and fraud. It loads on product and checkout pages, and possibly on others. When it runs, Google receives your IP address and browser details to tell people from automated bots, and Google may set a cookie (_GRECAPTCHA). Google’s use of that information is described in Google’s privacy policy.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use advertising platforms to collect information about our customers. Our cookie banner lists the cookies we currently find in use. You can also control cookies in your browser settings, though blocking all of them will stop the store from working.
- Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services we need to run the site and process your order:
- PayPal and WooPayments / Stripe: payments (and sales-tax calculation, if used).
- WooCommerce (Automattic): the store platform.
- MailPoet: the newsletter.
- Google: reCAPTCHA bot protection, loaded by our PayPal plugin.
- Ionos: our web host.
We may also share information when the law requires it. Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
- How long we keep it
- Order records: seven years, for tax and accounting.
- Email and messages: as long as they are useful for support, then deleted.
- Security logs: only as long as needed for security.
- Site statistics: only as long as they are useful for understanding how the site is used.
- Account information: while your account is active, or as the law requires.
- Cookies: session cookies end when you close your browser. Other cookies last no more than 12 months, except where a provider such as Google sets a longer one.
- Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We cannot delete records the law requires us to keep, such as order records for tax. You can withdraw consent for newsletters at any time using the link in any email. If you are in the European Union, you have rights under the GDPR. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA. We will honor valid requests from anywhere. Email admin@workersrebellion.com, and we will respond within 30 days.
- Children
Our website and products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
- Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including SSL/TLS encryption, firewall and malware monitoring, and payment providers that handle card data so that we do not. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
- International visitors
We are based in the United States, and the information we collect is processed here.
- Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and we will post a notice on the website for material changes.
